adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Cinder
It is literally impossible to provide a top sneaker releases list without mentioning at least one Yeezy iteration, as Kanye West continues to generate an insane amount of hype with every single design he releases. The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Cinder was definitely no exception and captivated the entire sneaker community with its earthy colourway, which is contrasted by a gum sole. This design perfectly fits into Kanye’s typical concept and many believe that this colourway can be considered as one of the best so far.
adidas Yeezy 700 V3 Alvah
Since we already started mentioning the popular sneakers by Kanye West, we definitely have to mention the adidas Yeezy 700 V3 Alvah as well. Although both iterations share a pretty similar name, they couldn’t be more different. The Yeezy 700 V3 comes in a completely new shape and tries to impress with its very unusual design. Despite the differences, this iteration again captivates because of its very distinctive wearing comfort. The adidas Yeezy 700 V3 Alvah is completely covered in black, which was very well received by the sneaker community.
Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Low
As we already saw, huge collaborations seem to trigger the biggest hype in the sneaker community. The hype grows even stronger if you are working with a very distinctive brand like Supreme. They were already producing a giant amount of exposure all by themselves, but the collaboration with Nike simply caused a hype explosion this year. The Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Low just made some very subtle changes to the Triple White/Black iterations by adding small Supreme brandings. These minimal differences seemed to be sufficient enough to embellish the Air Force 1 even more for countless sneakerheads. It is absolutely crazy how one small logo can be a total game changer for such a simple shoe.
Off-White x Air Jordan 5
Some might have thought that our top-list will continue without mentioning a single Off-White iteration. Luckily we were able to witness yet another collaborative sneaker this year, that exploded in typical fashion. The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 was released during the NBA All-Star Weekend and captivated the masses just as easily as every other sneaker on this list. The dark upper comprised of synthetic materials is a product by the legendary Virgil Abloh. As usual the sneaker got equipped with typical Off-White attributes like the distinctive zip tie and industrial text imprints on the inside of the tongue.
Nike Air Max 90 Reverse Duck Camo
No top-list would be truly complete without an Air Max sneaker. Along with its 30th anniversary the Nike Air Max 90 got equipped with a unique Reverse Duck Camo colourway, which was already seen in 2013. But don’t be mistaken that this CW is just another copy of a once popular sneaker. As the name suggests the original colours were inverted, resulting in a very unique and yet familiar colourway. Although the camo overlays remain the same, the red and black details switch their positions. This is probably the reason, why this AM90 received so much hype and was sold out immediately.
Fear of God Essentials x Converse Chuck 70 High
The heaviest and most hyped collaborations usually originate at Nike or adidas. Fear of God and Converse certainly proved, that their classic shoes can easily keep up with the competitors and generate a huge amount of hype as well. The collaboration comes with three minimalistic colourways, that perfectly emphasise the iconic and very distinctive shape of the Chuck. Combined with the long laces, one can easily recreate the popular Rick Owens style. Fear of God brandings on the heel complete the overall design of the sneaker.
